How to use Awal AI

Awal AI (Meeting Note Taker) turns voice into text and summaries on Android. This guide covers the basics; exact labels may vary slightly by app version.

Install & first launch

  1. Install the app from Google Play.
  2. Open Awal AI and complete sign-in if the app asks for an account (needed for cloud features and fair-use limits on free plans).
  3. Grant the microphone permission when prompted — it is required to record.

Record a meeting or note

  1. From the home screen, start a new recording.
  2. Place the phone where the mic can pick up voices clearly; reduce background noise when possible.
  3. Pause or stop when finished. Your recording is saved so you can process it later.

On the free plan, recording stops automatically when you hit the configured time limit. Premium removes that cap so sessions can run as long as you need (within device storage and reasonable use).

Transcription & summaries

  1. Open a recording and start AI processing to generate a transcript.
  2. Optionally generate a summary (and use meeting-oriented options like speaker-style layout when available).
  3. Review the text in the detail view: you can copy, edit, or organize content. AI output may contain mistakes — always verify important information.

Free accounts can only start AI processing a limited number of times per day. Premium lifts that daily cap. For very long recordings, free may only transcribe/summarize the first portion of the file; Premium processes the full audio. You need internet access for AI; audio is processed in the cloud.
